The January 7/8 SOTC Obedience and Rally trial was a huge success

Peg Anderson earned her Rally Advance title on Bragi

And Beginner Novice titles on both Idy and Bragi

Nancy Givens earned a BN leg on Beatrice

Diane Krouse earned her BN title on Jack

Margie Wikerd and Heidi earned 2 BN legs

Pauline Helfenstein and Katya got their BN title

With two 1st placements and a 2nd along the way!

 

 

At Williamsport AKC Agility over the New Year Holiday

(and Deb Bell’s Birthday!)

Deb and Tavari finished his Open Fast title with a First Place finish.

 

Kerry Boisvert and Lark enjoyed her entrance into ASCA obedience and rally at the HONYASC trial 12/3-4. She finished in 5th place in Novice B obedience & had a 4th & a 2nd place finish (with scores of 199) in Novice B Rally.

 

Pawsitively Awesome’s CPE trial on November 5 & 6 was successful for many

Institute teams:

 

Deb Bell and Naim earned his very first qualifying scores

in Full House and Jackpot with two First Place finishes!

Deb and Tavari finished his Level 3 Strategy Games title plus earned

His first Level 4 Snooker and Wildcard legs.  His Snooker run was

the first time Deb had ever made it all the way thru a Snooker course!

 

Kerry Boisvert and Lark had a perfect weekend – 8 for 8!

 

Suzanne Etherington and Morgan were successful in their first

venture into Snooker with a First Place Level One Q. 

Morgan also Q’d in Level Two Wildcard.

 

Chris O’Brien and Jazz earned Jazz’s first Level One Wildcard leg with

Second Place!

 

Linda Pacioretty and Maqui earned her CTL2-H and CTL2-S titles.

 

Deb Keith’s Ally came out of retirement to run as an Enthusiast and

Q’d with Firsts in all four of her runs.

 

 

On October 29, at the DOTCORNY Obedience and Rally trial Linda Pacioretty and Maqui earned their first Rally Excellent B leg with a Fourth Place, as well as Second Place in Wildcard Novice.

 

Also at DOTCORNY, Jen Patterson and Max finished Max’s Graduate Novice

Title with First Place in a very large, competitive class.

 

At the Wine Country Circuit over 9/29 to 10/2, Linda Pacioretty and Mojo

earned his Conformation Championship!

Maqui got Q’s in Novice Fast and Novice Standard, both with First Place!

 

Deb Bell and Tavari Lure Coursed at Wine Country to gain

two legs towards his Senior Courser Title.  He also placed second

in the competitive Open Dog conformation class.

 

In the agility ring at Wine Country, Nancy Givens’ Stanley

(handled by Laura Keefe) Q’d in Excellent A Standard,

Excellent A JWW for his title, Time2Beat, and Excellent B JWW.

Meanwhile, Nancy’s Beatrice earned two Rally Novice legs with two First Places to finish her title.  She also got her first leg in Open Standard agility being handled by Laura.

 

In the August 5 edition of Dog News, Deb Bell and Tavari are interviewed and

pictured in an article on Rhodesian Ridgebacks.

 

Rebecca Mosher’s Jasper received his Therapy Dog Title from AKC.

 

Kerry Boisvert and Lark earned their Open Jumpers title at Ruff Riders

on August 19th.

 

At the Susquenango Obedience trial, Julia Bentley and Xena

got their first CDX leg.

 

Nancy Given and Tinsel received their Therapy Dog Title from AKC.

 

Joan Shaw and Victor finished his Beginner Novice title with a 2nd place,

and His CD with a third place at Susquenango.

Joan and King also accomplished two Beginner Novice legs.

 

In the latest GSP Club of America Obedience rankings,

Cherie Jackman’s Trace has moved up to #4 in the country,

following closely in her mother’s footsteps at #2!

 

Linda Pacioretty and Mojo won a competitive

4 point Major at Bloomsburg, leaving

Mojo one point shy of his AKC Conformation Championship!

 

Broadcreek’s Lillian Rose and Debbie Keith finished

Lil’s first AKC title – RN at Bloomsburg on 7/31.

 

Katie Barnaby and Mable earned a leg towards

their CD at the Susquenango Obedience Trial.

 

Judy Roberts and Sam got their second Novice B leg in Hamlin and

Finished his CD at the Susquenango Obedience Trial.

 

Nancy Givens Great Pyr, Tinsel TDI CGC VA VE, was recently awarded the titles of Versatility Ambassador and Versatility Emmisary by the

Great Pyrenees Club of America. 

These titles are the result of over 20 hours of community service and education, and nearly 100 hours of therapy visits.

 

At the June IDTC CPE trial, Linda Pacioretty and Maqui Q'd in 8 out of 9 runs and earned 2 titles.

 

At the inaugural IDTC CPE trial, Debbie Keith and Who won two

out of two classes for Who’s first title!

 

At the Cato Agility trial in June, Kerry Boisvert and Lark finished

Lark’s Open Standard titles and got their

first Open Jumpers leg.

 

Lynn Palmer and Dozer got their first AKC title at the recent

Cato agility trial.  Dozer finished his NF title with

1st and 2nd placings.  They also got a 1st place

Q in Novice Jumpers

 

 

 

At the SOTC trial, Team K9Stein won the Team Obedience.

At the SOTC obedience trial, Linda Pacioretty and Maqui earned her 1st 2 RA legs, placing 3rd on one of the days.

 

Katy Barnaby and Mabel got 3rd place in Beginner Novice B at the SOTC trial on June 11, 2011, beating the 4th place dog in a run off.

At the PEN-NY ASC Agility Trial in Ithaca, NY on 6/5/11, in their debut in

ASCA agility, Chris O’Brien and Jazz Q’d with a 1st in Regular Novice,

and Q’d with a third in Gamblers Novice.

 

Kerry Boisvert and Lark finished the Novice Jumpers title at the Finger Lakes Afghan agility Trial with a first place and also received a blue ribbon for her first Open Standard leg

 

At the German Shepherd Specialties in Seneca Falls, NY,

Lucille Straub and Cody, in their first time out, finished his CD from Novice B with all First Places, three GSD High in Trials and

Two All Breed High in Trials!

At the SOTC spring agility trial, Judy Roberts and Sam Q’d in

Novice Fast and Novice Standard.  Judy and Patrick

Q’d in Excellent Standard.

 

The statistics for 2010 were just released for the Alaskan Malamute Club of America. Peg Anderson’s Bragi was #1 in Rally Novice

and Idy was #1 for Rally Advanced A!

 

The GSP National Obedience Rankings came out this week. As of February, Cherie Jackman’s Trace is ranked #7 in the country!!!

 

Nancy Kaproth’s Belle had her first conformation win at the Salt City Cluster Shows on Saturday, April 2, 2011.  Belle was awarded Best of Bitches and Best of Opposite Sex for one point.

 

Rusty Morton and Ms Lillian Pinchmeyer finished her Open FAST title in Concord, NC.  In addition, Mr Booker and Ms. Sprite were recognized for their performance titles in 2010 at the Great Pyrennes National Specialty -

- Sprite for her RN

- Booker for his RE, NAP & NJP (he was 1 of only 3 Pyr's to earn 3 or more performance titles in 2010)

- Booker was also recognized for the highest score by a Pyr in his JWW class

 

 

At Western Lakes, April 23-24, Debbie Bell and Tavari finished

Tavari’s NA, NAJ, and NF

All legs were First Place Q’s!

 

At the Belgian Malinois Nationals in Indiana April 23,

Hunter and Debbie Keith took first place in

On April 9, Chris O’Brien and Jazz went to their very first

Cherie Jackman and Trace have been trialing in Open Obedience.

At SOTC they q’d with a 1st, DOTCORNY q’d with a 1st, and finished her

CDX at York PA with a 2nd.  They have gathered four

Bumper legs with one 1st and three 2nds.

 

At the January SOTC agility trial, Debbie Keith and Hunter finished

Hun’s Open Standard title

 

At the February DOTCORNY obedience trial, Jen Patterson and Max

earned two Graduate Novice legs with  a 2nd and a 3rd.

at DOTCORNY

 

Also at DOTCORNY, Cheri Jackman and Trace earned

their second CDX leg with another 1st place!

 

In Rally at DOTCORNY, Rebecca Mosher and Jasper and Chris O’Brien and Jazz both earned RA legs to finish their titles.

 

At the Boom Towne CPE trial in January, Debbie Keith ran

three dogs (Hunter, Fly, and Lillian) in five runs each for

 24 q’s, 21 firsts, and 8 titles!

 

At the Pawsitively Awesome CPE trial in January, Parker’s second trial ever, Mallorie Morse and Parker Q’d in 7 out of 8 classes all with first places

and finished 3 titles

 

At SOTC in January 2011 Chris O’Brien and Jazz earned their first

RA leg and then his second RA leg with a 99 and a 2nd place.

 

Also at SOTC, Cheri Jackman and Trace earned their first

CDX leg with a 1st Place!

 

And in Rally at SOTC, Rebecca Mosher and Jasper

earned their RN title and their first RA leg.

 

Also at SOTC, Linda Pacioretty and Molly placed 3rd in a very

Competitive Novice B class. 

Linda and Maqui earned Maqui’s first two Beginner Novice legs

placing 4th on Sunday.

 

Suzanne Etherington and Trevorwood Elfine Rivalsbane

(aka Elfinie Beanie Deanie) got two qualifying standard runs

at Boom Towne December 4th and now Beanie has her first CPE title!

 

Karen Nocera and Hudson earned their CGC.

 

Linda Pacioretty and Maqui finished their RN at the

Syracuse Leatherstocking Circuit

 

Cheri Jackman and Trace finished their RE’s with a First Place,

and a First Place tie at the Leatherstocking Circuit.

 

Jen Patterson and Max also finished their RE at the Leatherstocking Circuit.

 

Cheri Jackman’s Trace and Jen Patterson’s Max both received Front and Finish Obedience Gold Medal Excellence Awards (FFX-OG) for completing their CD's in their first three trials with scores of 190 or above.

 

At SOTC’s agility trial on October 16, Debbie Keith and Hunter

Finished Hunter’s Open Fast title.

 

Kerry Boisvert’s Digger earned his first weight pulling leg at the Canine

 Culture Back to School Pull on 9/12/10 in the International Weight

 Pulling Association (IWPA).  In this association he had to pull 12

 times his weight for a qualifying score.  He was also first in his

 weight division 0-20 pounds.

 

In other news from Kerry, Lark is taking a break from

competition to raise an expected litter of 6 to 7 puppies!

 

At the recent ASCA show Bill Hansen and Merlin Q’d

in Rally Novice.  Ariel also Q’d with a 200 out of 200.

Ariel also got a score of 193 and first place in ASCA Open Obedience.

Earlier, Bill and Merlin had finished their AKC RA at Albion.

 

 

Also at the ASCA show, Marilyn Soule and Sky achieved their

Novice Rally title, qualified in Obedience, and

were High in Trial and High Scoring Aussie.

 

At Western Lakes on September 11, Linda Pacioretty and Molly

finished Molly’s CD with a 192.  She earned a

Bumper leg with a 196!

 

September 10, Debbie Keith took Hunter and Lillian to a conformation

show in North Branch NJ.  Lillian took Winners and Hunter took

Breed over the #1 Malinois.  Hunter’s win was a 5 point Select Major, and

sent him up to #10 Malinois in the country for 2010 conformation

and #8 in the Eukanuba statistics!

 

At the AKC agility trial in Cato, on August 19, Kerry Boisvert and Ch. Bandersnatch A Fine Romance RN, SE (Lark)

finished her Novice Fast Title and got her first Novice Std. leg.

 

At the Boom Towne CPE trial, August 21 & 22, Debbie Keith and Lillian, in Lil’s very first trial, Q’d four out of four classes entered,

With 3 firsts and 1 second, and achieved Lil’s first agility title – CL1-F!  She also got her first Colors Level 2 leg.

Hunter Q’d seven out of 10 classes entered and progressed to level 4 in several classes!

 

Deb Bell had a very successful trip to a UKC show recently.

Naim and Tavari qualified in UKC Rally Level 2.  That's the UKC equivalent to AKC's Advanced. 

Spike made her dog UKC Rally show debut and earned her first Rally leg (Rally Level 1).

Tavari was runner-up to the winner of the UKC lure coursing event on Friday night,

He also got a rating of Excellent in all categories by an FCI judge in the conformation show. 

He placed 2nd in Sighthound and Pariah Dog group.

 That placement combined with the qualifying score in Rally gave him a UKC Total Dog award,  

Complete with a very nice rosette and an engraved brass collar tag.

 

 

 

 

At the Pawsitely Awesome July CPE trial, Morgan and Suzanne Etherington earned Morgan’s second Level One Standard Leg

 

 

 

 

Kerry Boisvert’s Ch. Bandersnatch A Fine Romance RN JE, earned her Senior Earthdog title at the FLKC Earthdog trial in Newark Valley 7/24-25.

Susquenango Obedience trial in Binghamton over 8/23 to 8/25 brought a lot of successes for K9Stein students:

  Joan Shaw and Victor qualified in Novice B with a score of 182 to add to his cumulative total for year end awards thru the Miniature Pinscher Club of America. 

He finished last year as number #8 in the country for obedience and won a TRIPLE CROWN AWARD for having titles in three venues--conformation obedience and rally.  

He is ranked as number #6 for this year as of May 2010.

   Joan Shaw and King finished his Rally Novice title in three straight shows. His last bumper leg was a tie for FIRST PLACE  with a score of 99!! 

 He is now AKC pointed Cammcastle's King Kong RN CGC.

 

Jen Patterson and Max earned his CD at SNKC's Binghamton Obedience Trial. He received scores of 193, 196 and 192 with a 3rd and 4th placement in Novice B.

Cheri Jackman and Trace earned her CD at SNKC's Binghamton Obedience Trial.

She received scores of 193, 197, and 194. Trace placed first in the Novice A class all three days!

 

Xena and Julia Bentley got their final leg for her RE. 

Rebecca Mosher and Jasper got their first Rally Novice leg with a 100 and 2nd place on Saturday and their second leg with a 96 on Sunday.

Linda Pacioretty and Molly gained two CD legs at SOTC with a 4th place on Sunday.

 

At BoomTowne, Peggy Anderson and Idy completed their first agility title - CL1-F

with a first place and clean run in Jumpers and a second place in Fullhouse.

 

 

At the recent Afghan Club agility trial, Linda Pacioretty and Molly got their first Novice FAST Preferred leg,

becoming the first Dogue de Bordeaux to qualify in FAST.

 

Also at the Afghan Club aglility trial, Mallorie Morse and Hunter got their second Double Q giving them 58 points toward their MACH.

They have 2 MX legs, 6MXJ legs, and 5 MXF legs.

 

At the recent Tioga Kennel Club Match, Debbie Keith and Lillian went Group 2 in the herding group and

Got a 92 in Lil’s first attempt at Novice Rally.

The following week, Lillian went Group 3 at the FLKC Match.

 

At the Border Terrier Specialty in North Carolina,  Kerry Boisvert and Lark finished her Rally Novice title and got her

first leg in Novice Jumpers.  Kerry and Digger were members of the First Place Team Obedience Entry.

 

At the Pawsitively Awesome CPE trial in May, Debbie Keith and Hunter finished all his Level 2 titles except Standard

and Fly finished all her Level 1’s and is well on her way in Level 2.

 

Bill Hansen and Merlin got First Place in Rally Advanced at the German Shepherd Specialty.

 

 

At the SOTC Spring Agility trial, Mallorie Morse and Hunter got 1 TQX Leg,

1st Double Q, 1 MX leg, 2 MXF legs, 3 MXJ legs and 32 MACH points.

 

 

 

 

At the HONYASC trial in April, Wild Card Novice placements were 1 Chris Obrien and Jazz, 2 Kerry Boisvert and Lark,

and 3 Debbie Bell and Tavari!

 

 

At the Kanadasaga Kennel Club Match on May 2, Julia Bentley and Xena won the Novice Class!

 

 

 

Peggy Anderson’s Idy ended the year 2009 as Number 2 Alaskan Malamute in Rally Novice.

 

Also in 2009, Idy earned two legs toward her weight pull requirements.

 

Bill Hansen and Merlin achieved a 195, First Place, and High in Trial from the Novice B class at the recent HONYASC trials!  

He also received a Third Place Q in Novice B at the trials.

Kerry Boisvert and Digger received his second ASCA CDX leg on 4/17/10 at the HONYASC trial in Syracuse.

 

Debbie Keith and Hunter finished Hunter’s ASCA CD at the HONYASC Trial.

 

 

 

Molly finished her RAE in Syracuse, making her the first Dogue de Bordeaux to earn a RAE! 

This journey included multiple 1st and 4th placements, a 3rd placement and two perfect scores of 100.

On April 10, Rebecca Mosher and Jasper got their first Novice A leg with a 194.5 and First place at the

 POTC (Poodle Obedience Training Club of Greater NY) Poodle Specialty in Allentown, NJ

Kerry Boisvert and Lark earned their second Rally Novice B leg at the Salt City Trials.

 

At the recent Syracuse circuit, Mallorie Morse and Hunter finished their AX, AXJ, XF and got their first Excellent B Fast leg with a Fourth place.

At the Elmira Kennel Club Match, Rebecca Mosher and Jasper took HIT in Obedience out of the Novice A class.

At the Elmira Kennel Club Match on March 21, Jen Patterson and Max took First Place and HIT in Rally with a 99.

At the same match, Cherie Jackmin and Trace took 2nd place in Rally.

At the Monticello NY Kennel Club shows March 13&14, Molly and Linda Pacioretty earned their 7th and 8th RAE legs with three Firsts and a Fourth!

 

On February 15th, Debbie Keith and Hunter took a break from performance and showed at Westminster Kennel Club

At the November Cluster in Syracuse, Priscilla Dyer and Kirby earned Kirby’s RA title with a 4th place

 

At ten years old, Deb Bell’s Shandi finished #14 in the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of the US (RRCUS) top 20 obedience rankings for 2009.  He finished #10 in the RRCUS Novice Obedience Top 20 with an average score of 184.88.

 

Ms Lillian Pinchmeyer and Rusty Morton finished her Excellent Jumpers title in agility.

 

Brenda Griffin and Turner won their Open A obedience class and finished Turner's CDX title.

 

Linda Pacioretty and Molly added RAE Legs #5 and #6 at DOTCORNY.  Molly placed Fourth in Excellent B on Saturday.

 

At DOTCORNY, Debbie Keith and Hunter earned his Graduate Novice title with First Place!

Booker and Rusty Morton scored 90 out of 100 for 3rd place and his second Rally Excellent A leg at the January SOTC trial.

 

Also at SOTC, Brenda Griffin and Turner earned their second CDX leg placing 3rd out of 24!

 

Carol Baugh and Hardy scored a 191 in Novice B at the SOTC trial for a 3rd place and Hardy’s CD!

 

Debbie Keith and Hunter earned two legs towards Hunter’s Graduate Novice title at the SOTC trial 1/9 and 1/10 with a 2nd placement on Saturday and 3rd on Sunday.

 

Also at SOTC, Judy Roberts and Xoe won the Wildcard Utility class.

Debbie Keith and Hunter went to Springfield and Q’d twice out of two in obedience and took Best of Breed two days.

 

At Erie (Clarion Canine Obedience Club trial),  Rusty Morton and Turner picked up 2 MXJ legs, 1 MX leg, his 1 st double Q and his 1 st Excellent FAST leg. He even had one perfect day – a triple Q on the first day of the trail.

Hunter and Mallory Morse went to Leatherstocking obedience trial and Hunter finished his RN with another perfect score of 100 and another First Place.  Two out of three legs were 100’s and Firsts!

 

Debbie Keith and Hunter (the Malinois) went to Leatherstocking and placed 3rd in Novice B.  They also took Best of Breed both days they showed.

 

JoAnn Molnar and Citrine earned their Novice Rally title at Leatherstocking.

 

Debbie Bell attended the UKC Rally trials hosted by the Upstate Kennel Club at the Southtown Dog Club building.  Shandi earned his URO2 title with three first placements. He also picked up a 2nd placement in his first attempt at Rally Level 3 on Saturday afternoon.  His scores were all in the 90s.  Naim earned his URO1 title plus a "bumper leg".  Tavari earned his URO1 title as well.     Debbie wound up with the High Scoring Sighthound award in three of the four trials over two Greyhounds and an Afghan Hound, picking up two squeaky helicopters and a squeaky fighter plane complete with fake bombs.

Xoe and Judy Roberts completed their CDX in September ’08 followed up by completing their UD in October ’09!

Rusty and Brenda Morton's Ms. Lillian Pinchmeyer picked up 8 Q's in CPE between the Max 200 and Pawsitively Awesome trial. She also got her first Excellent Jumpers Q at the Erie Kennel Club trial.

Mr. Turner picked up 2 Q's in CPE at Pawsitively Awesome and finished his AXJ at Erie.

Last but not least, Booker picked up 4 Q's and his L1 Strategy title at Pawsitively Awesome.

Kerry Boisvert and Digger went 8 for 8 qualifying runs at the recent Pawsitively Awesome CPE trial. Lark, at her very first trial, went 2 for 2, and Becky went 3 for 4!

Linda Pacioretty and Molly had 6 out of 8 qualifying runs (with two clean runs!) at Pawsitively Awesome CPE trial.

Molly also gained 2 RAE legs and a 1st place in Excellent B at DOTCORNY.

Debbie Keith and Hunter had a perfect weekend at the Pawsitively Awesome CPE trial - 8 for 8! Fly was 5 for 8, but did finish two level one titles!

At DOTCORNY, Mallory Morse and her Hunter entered their first Rally Novice A class and got a great score of 99. Three handlers and dogs had a score of 99 and they took 3rd place. The next day, Hunter earned his 2nd leg with a perfect 100 and 1st place!

Peggy Anderson and Idy picked up her third leg, Title, and a First Place ribbon in Rally Novice B at the Malamute National. There were three 99s and Idy won on time!  Idy was also 4th out of 20 in the Open Bitches conformation class at the National!
